For my role in it:
I started in Visual Development 2,5 years ago. After pre-production ended I was allowed to move into the Layout & Backgrounds department for the last year of production. Given the lack of dedicated 2D Layout artists available, The studio opted to train the Background team to be able to fill that role as well; allowing us to work all the way from rough layout all the way to final background in most cases.
I must say, It has been the ride of my life to be a part of this project. Life-changing, enriching, challenging and rewarding in ways I could never have foreseen. Here's to all people who worked on this movie and the manifold lives they lived alongside it; thank you all for making this experience anything but a job: Thank you!
